2007 ACG/VGS/ODSGNA Postgraduate Course in Gastroenterology Shows Continued Growth

Williamsburg, VA once again served as host of the 2007 combined course in gastroenterology. This year's meeting was the largest ever, marking successive years of record attendance. The meeting included state-of-the-art lectures and panel discussions on esophageal disease, advanced endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, and NOTES (natural orifice transgastric endoscopic surgery), among others. Special sessions including benchmarking practices, medicolegal risk of gastroenterology practice, and an optional sedation course on Friday evening.

Over 260 physicians and nurses attended the meeting representing 18 different states. Twenty-two companies set up display booths in the exhibit hall of the newly remodeled Williamsburg Lodge & Conference Center.




The 2007 Virginia Gastroenterological Society awards were announced on Sunday morning. Winners included:
